Founder and co-owner of GOYA GEAR, manufacturing water sport technical apparel for paddling sports. Founder of The Gravity Adventure Festival, which draws hundreds of competitors to compete in various adventure disciplines over two days.

Career Synopsis

Andrew Kellett is a 5 time member of the South African Freestyle team, the Chief Instructor for the African Paddling Association and a well respected extreme and exploratory kayaker who has paddled white-water rivers across the world. Andrew established Gravity Adventures; an adventure based Tourism Company in South Africa, which is currently one of the market leaders in its field. He also owns Paddle Zone, a kayak retail shop as well as Goya Gear, an adventure brand as well as manufactured of buoyancy aids and safety gear for the paddling industry. Whilst business is always on his mind, exploratory kayaking is his passion. He has lead an expedition of Long Distance Swimmers down the length of the Orange River, a 2500km journey, as well as leading as well as being involved in various first descents of Hidden gorges in Southern Africa.

Achievements

5 time member of the South African Freestyle team with a World placing of 36th in Spain and 66th in Austria 2 years later. He is an established exploratory kayaker and has lead numerous First Descents in Southern Africa including the remote Tsitsa and Thina gorges as well as the rapids below the Auagrabies Falls in the Northern Cape. Andrew is also the Chief Instructor for the African Paddling Association and is currently the only Instructor and Assessor for the International Rafting Federation.
