Career Synopsis

First race ever on a bicycle was the 1998 Cape Argus as a substitution on a borrowed bike. I have been hooked on cycling ever since. Have completed the Argus 11 times of which 7 has been Sub 3 hours. Started racing for the Maties Cycling Team in 2002 with the highlight being the Tour de Windhoek. This was also the year that I first started racing Elite League. I then joined Team Unicyc in 2003 and formed part of the team that won the 2003 Double Century in record time. I was also selected to compete in the 2004 Giro del Capo. I started mountain biking (during the off season) in 2006 and got some good results all throughout the year, although I was not part of a team during this period. Later in 2006 I joined Team Ngubane and raced the Spring and Summer League as well as the Double Century. May 2008, I stared cycling for CapeStorm cycling team taking part in mountain bike races though out the winter.

I have competed in over 175 races since my humble start in 1998, and with the support of CAPESTORM I am sure I will be competing in many more

2006: 2nd in Dirtopia Trophy Race

2006: 4th in Mt Rozier Reef MTB Challenge

2007: 3rd in Construction Du Cap Ninety Niner (Sub Vet Category)

2008: 1st in Dirtopia Night Race

2008: 1st in Dirtopia Trophy Race (Sub Vet Category)
