Achievements

Leader of the first successful South African expedition to the North side of Mt Everest in 2007, where he became the 7th South African to summit the mountain via the North-east Ridge.

Climbed 5 of the 7 summits.

Run 20 Two Oceans marathons with a personal best of 3 hours and 34 minutes and a best finishing position of 30th place.

Run 11 Comrades marathons with a personal best of 6 hours and 25 minutes and a best finishing position of 91st place.

Previous winner of the South African Masters Marathon Championships for his age group.

Still holds the unsupported record through the Fish River Canyon in 11 hours and 42 minutes.
