Career Synopsis

Starting cycling about 8 years ago when my father and sister did the 1998 Argus. That inspired me to take to the road and start training. Did my first Argus in 1999 and have done every Argus since 1999, 5 of them was Sub 3 hours. When I was in matric in 2000 I represented my school (Paul Roos Gymansium) in a couple of road cycling events. The next year in 2001, started studying at Stellenbosch University towards my management accounting degree.Competed for Maties first cycling team for the next four years.Represented maties at various events throughout the Cape, as well as at 2 SA Sport Student Union cycling events.Represented maties a 2 Tour de Windhoek's that was held in Namibia.Also represented Maties at 3 Double Centuries, and was part of the winning team of the double century in November 2003.

Represented Namibia in World B champs in Switzerland during July 2003 as well as in the Giro del Capo during March 2004.

Was part of the Ngubane team for last year's double century where the team achieved 13th position.

Have competed in most of the local races since 2001 with various top 10 finishes.

2000: Paul Roos Gymnasium first cycling team.
2001: Maties first cycling team.
2002: Maties first cycling team, won Boland champs.
2003: Best Argus finish time: 2h36min, Represent Namibia at World B Champs in Switzerland, Part of the winning double century cycling team in a time of 5h36min
2004: Represent Namibia in Giro Del Capo
2007: Part of Ngubane team which finished 13th in Double century
2008: 2nd Best Argus time, 2h42min
