Team CAPESTORM Complete Cyclist gets their first win

Team CAPESTORM Complete Cyclist received their new kit during the week prior to the Western Province Road Championships so the weekends race was the first opportunity to show it off. And show it off they did by picking up their first win of the season. Willie Saayman walked away as WP Champ in the sub vet category after being setup for victory by a great team effort.

The 6 team members rode a tactical race by getting a rider (Johan) into an early break. This forced some of the stronger riders from other teams to chase, while the rest of the team patrolled the bunch.
When Johan was caught just after the completion of the first lap, Andre and Stuart took turns attacking the bunch, while making sure any break never got too far ahead.

Coming into the last couple of Kilometers Neil worked hard to bring back a lone break and setting Willie up for the sprint. Johan despite his first lap effort claimed 4th, just missing out on getting 2 of the team onto the podium.

The team have a couple of races left this season including Die Burger and the Double Century before preparation for next year's league season begins.
