Can astrology assist you in becoming a better athlete? The answer is yes.

Astrology has a checkered past and the misconception is that it is all about "star signs" which are viewed by most as nonsensical, and rightly so. Astrology is profound, dates back to the time of the Old Testament and is a practical craft that can be used to assist us in maximising our potential. One of those areas is within the sporting arena and Jacqueline has a personal fascination with this as she was involved in the fitness industry for over a decade. The natal (birth) chart is the "palette of colours" that you were given to paint your picture with, and it depicts your potential as well as your weaknesses on all levels. Assessment of the natal chart can determine which sports you will have a natural aptitude and ability for and which disciplines will simply be too hard - simply put, choose the correct discipline in the first place. Many studies have been conducted by international astrologers in this regard over the years with no conclusive over riding evidence as to who will excel and who will not, simply because the sum does not equal the parts as in a mathematical equation - these are human beings after all, not lab rats!. However there are most definitely certain astrological correlations between athletes who have excelled and these will be discussed. The medical fault line which also predisposes us to sports injuries will be addressed as well as the correct nutritional stance to take based on the temperament of the chart. The chart of a top athlete will be used as an example and everyone will be able to follow the delineation and gain some insight into their own physical abilities, training methods and overall well being. To see Jacqueline's view point on successful athletes read her article "The Psychology of Astrology and Sport" on her web site www.traditionalastrologer.co.za
